Imagethief will be joining a panel on the business of blogging at AmCham Beijing on Wednesday, September 19th. I'm actually on the second of two panels. The first is on "digital influence" and will feature Sam Flemming of CIC, Andrew Lih, David Wolf and be moderated by Matt Roberts. According to the AmCham site:

Our experts provide the big picture on what's happening online in the world's largest market. The panel will cover trends, myths and realities, and advice in regard to understanding the online environment.

I've met all three of the panelists above (although not the moderator) and can vouch for the quality of their insight. That alone would be worth the price of admission. But there is also a second panel, which will feature Dan Harris of China Law Blog, Chris Devonshire-Ellis of Dezan Shira & Associates and China Briefing Blog and me. Jeremy Goldkorn of Danwei will moderate. It is described thus:

Four top English-language bloggers in China who cover the legal, tax, PR and media sectors discuss the pros and cons of blogging, how it has helped and/or hurt their careers and companies, and what to be aware of before venturing online.

I am duly flattered. Complete information is on the AmCham website, here. It's not free, but it's two good panels for the price of one. It should be a great session and a nice chance to hobnob. Plus I promise a good show or I'll go the full monty right there*.

*Not really.
