Well, it turns out that my trusty, old will -at- imagethief account has also been offline for about the past month. This is the problem with multiple accounts all directing to the same place -- you sometimes don't notice when something goes offline, even if you use flags to identify different accounts.

Anyway, I also extend apologies to anyone trying to mail me at that account for the past month, including in the last couple of days since I suggested that was the account to use to reach me.

Instead, please use imagethief -at- gmail -dot- com, which, as far as I can tell, is working perfectly. Or send me a note by pigeon. At this point, it'd work about as reliably as the Internet if not more so.

By the way, I blame spammers for all of this. One of the great advantages of webmail is that it can aggregate information from millions of accounts to identify spam. Almost no spam actually makes it into either of my Gmail inboxes or my Yahoo box. The downside is that when you use it to consolidate mails from somewhat spam prone POP accounts, it can sometimes be a bit overzealous. Hence I continue to believe that industrial spamming should be the sole crime meriting capital punishment.

Speaking of which, the prize spam subject line of the month: Is your love stick as hard as stone?

Well, depends who's asking...
