This is priceless, especially while your Twitter display, right next to the photo, says that

"Terrorists will be helpless before the might of the Segway precision assault squad!"

Indeed. Terrorists'll be rolling on the ground, laughing their bums off, and ready to be nicked!

I'm surprised they haven't joined the HDTV recorder army guy on Wanfujing high street to put us all at ease.

When I saw this on Yahoo!, I knew you'd have a say.

If the tires were armored, and there was some kind of armor plate in front of the soldier's torsos, this might actually make sense.

As it is, these guys would probably be very nearly as effective as Crack Suicide Squad of the Judean People's Front (or is that the People's Front of Judea?)

Even better would be the hot little "specialty troop" singer/dancer PSB babes in bullet proof bikinis on top of those!

Also in Tom's photos linked to above there is that one with the remote control robot taking a bag out of the car boot.  I presume this is supposed to be for handling and disarming suspected explosive devices.

However it kind of defeats the purpose if the guy controlling it is standing 1m away from the robot.  He might as well pick up the bomb himself!
