This has been something of a running theme the last few weeks, but I'm sure it hasn't escaped my reader's (that isn't a typo*) notice that Imagethief has been pretty quiet of late. All I can say is it's been a little thick on the work front, including a good spell of weekends and evenings. And early mornings, lunch hours, and that private time you get in the bathroom when you have an Internet-capable mobile phone. I'm having trouble writing my name right now, much less blog posts.

There have been, as usual, a few things I wanted to commPublishent on that went by the wayside while I was grinding. I don't have much time to get into them now, but I'll offer one quick opinion. Cai Mingchao's screwing of the Christie's auction of Chinese antiquities was stupid and will prove to be counterproductive in the long run. More on this later, I hope, if it's not stale as old gravel by the time I get round to it.

*When I was in college radio my co-host, JD Butter, used to refer to our "audient". This was essentially accurate.
