Money changes hands over goats in Kashgar's crazed and colorful livestock market. 40 to 400 RMB for a goat, depending upon the size and quality (large deposits of rump-fat are valued), 500 for a donkey, depending upon on how well behaved it is, and 1000 to 3000 for a camel. Cows are also traded, as is wool.
